Alison is an Economist with a broad range of interests including labour markets, public policy, demographics, economic development and strategic planning. She has been teaching at Memorial University of Newfoundland since 1996.
In 2004, Alison started her own consulting company. Her clients have included private think tanks, businesses, political parties and government agencies. Alison is currently enjoying a full-time teaching term at MUN, sitting on the Board of Trade’s Federal Provincial Affairs Committee, working on the development of a Strategic Transportation Plan for the Province, and developing
proposals for new business endeavors. In her spare time she volunteers at numerous causes and runs Big Al’s Heavy Metal Soup Kitchen.
