'Harvard for sex' attempt fails, ex-Malvern Prep School counselor charged - TomoNews

CHESTER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA — Emily Feeney, a 40-year-old married college guidance counselor at the private, all-boys Malvern Preparatory School in Pennsylvania is facing serious sexual assault charges after her desperate attempts to persuade a student to sleep with her failed.

Feeney allegedly attempted to seduce a 16-year-old student swimmer by a variety of means, including promising to help them secure admission to Harvard University, according to the Chester County district attorney.

The seduction attempts began in the summer of 2014 with “highly sexualized” text messages and emails, along with photographs of Feeney in various states of undress. She also reportedly kissed the student at one point.

Despite the unnamed boy clearly telling her he was not interested and repeatedly asking her to stop harassing him, Feeney persisted, going so far as to send the student emails from her school email account begging him to speak with her while calling him “gorgeous” and saying she “adored him.”

In May of this year, the boy reportedly spoke to his parents about Feeney’s harassment and an investigation was launched. Warrants to search Feeney’s text messages and emails were obtained and Feeney was arrested on Wednesday, August 19. Feeney’s next court hearing is scheduled for September 2.
